Grayson Schey is a five year old artist who resides in Edmonton, Alberta with his parents Marshall and Launa Schey. Grayson’s parents noticed his artistic talent at the age of 3 when he started drawing a set of eyes, nose and mouth inside a circle to make a face. From there his talent grew exponentially over the next few years, garnering a bit of a fan base from some of his pictures posted on social media. Grayson gets a lot of inspiration from things that he likes, including his favourite movies and television shows. Being a five year old, Grayson’s choice in art supplies are Crayola markers and paper, something his parents need to keep well stocked.
Grayson has been diagnosed with what is called Global Developmental Delay which has affected his speech. Launa and Marshall believe that Grayson uses his art as a way to communicate and express himself due to his speech delay. It will be interesting to see how Grayson’s art develops as he gets older and how he continuously shows us his unique perspective of the world.
